The latest tidbits on the 2012 Acura TL: a refreshed front fascia and a revised rear end to dilute the aggressive front end of the current car. The overhangs are shorter and there is less in-your-face chrome detailing. Acura engineers also managed to increase fuel economy by cutting engine friction and adding a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment on all TL models allowing the mpg figures to jump to 20mpg city and 29mpg highway (up 3). Acura says the TL 6MT SH-AWD will continue production.
Content-wise, the TL Advance model now has a Blind-Sport Awareness system along with ventilated heated/cooled seats. Audio-techies will love the new 60GB navigation and infotainment system.
