See the video of the new Honda CR-Z, which will be used to market the hybrid sports coupe in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, before it hits your small screen. The Honda CR-Z comes to South Africa later this year.
The production house tasked with the video was briefed to create a film capturing the “dynamic, aesthetic and environmental qualities” of the new car.
According to its media statement, the film’s narrative “describes an epic journey that begins at dawn and continues through the night, during which the viewer’s perception of reality is challenged by a fantastic mix of smoke, mirrors and laser light.” Smoke and mirrors, hey?
Well, we can’t wait to look beyond those when the CR-Z arrives in South Africa later this year. The car, which Honda calls its “most exciting hybrid yet” is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine coupled with Honda’s IMA hybrid system. It is claimed the CR-Z will consume around 4.2 l/100 km of fuel and produce 117 g/km of CO2 emissions.
Honda also promises a responsive chassis and great handling characteristics, but, to whet your appetite, have a look at the video.
