Of course, 2010 was a landmark year for Toyota, who constantly topped reliability lists which shot itself in the foot with its slew of recalls. Now a Consumer Reports reliability study pegs the Japanese automaker in third place behind Honda and Ford. Honda came in first place with 25% of car owners naming it with the best quality, Ford came in second with 23% and Toyota came in 3rd at 19%, dropping 11% from 2009. In the overall brand perception. Toyota edged out Ford which edged out Honda, Ford topped the list in value lead by Honda in 2nd place followed by Toyota.
