Honda Canada's facilities in Alliston will continue to run on reduced capacity until August. Parts suppliers have not recovered from the Japanese earthquake causing parts supply shortages throughout North America. Other news for Honda's production facilities is that the CR-V will be moved to be produced in Alliston next year (more heavily Civic-based for the 2012 redesign?) and the MDX production will be moved to Alabama in 2013. Production schedule in the meanwhile for Alliston is running on reduced schedules seeing May production run only on Tuesdays and Thursdays, having Mondays and Fridays left for non-production activity. The plant will shut down voluntarily in days throughout June and July. Plant One and the Engine Plant will resume partial to full production in early June. Alliston's reduced production will affect levels of Civic supply. Certain colors for Hondas will be in short supply across the country as paint pigments are in a supply disaster of their own.
