Honda's next-generation 2012 CR-V has been spotted out testing, it appears that photos seem to show an extended and enlarged wheelbase and rumors are that the extended wheelbase is to fit a 3rd row. As you can see, the styling of the CR-V probably won't really change too much from the current version, think of an evolution similar to the 2011 vs. 2012 Civic. However, expect the front end to shoot up instead of the current model's droopy-like looking front end and the rear end will be more Volvo-like and streamlined rather than the odd-shaped rear end of the current version. The engine appears to be a carryover from the 2011, but if the CR-V is to get a 3rd row, Honda engineers better increase the output of the engine to suit the weight of having 7 passengers.
