Honda is set to make a major venture in Mexico as it plans to invest more than $500 million in the city of Salamanca located in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico to build a car factory. Construction on the factory will begin next year. The auto plant will produce the Fit subcompact in 2014. Honda already has a plant in Jalisco, Mexico currently producing CR-Vs. Hopefully, this expansion will allow more consumers to enjoy Fit models as it seems that the availability of Fits are always low to impossible.
