These photos are from a Chinese auto site. You can tell the LED headlamps and the projector style bulbs in this front shot and it looks like the CR-V will remain true to the 2012 CR-V Concept model, featuring very radical front end styling.
The rear end continues with a styling theme similar to the current CR-V with a slight tweak in the rear vertical tail-lights.
The interior looks to be a mix and match between the 2012 Civic and the 2011 TSX. It looks like the top centre dashboard is sourced directly from the TSX while the steering wheel is from the new Civic. The ECON button will make its first Honda SUV debut in the 2012 CR-V, expect the ECON button to become the next "big thing" throughout Honda's range. I'm not sure if Acura will follow suit on this or not. There might be a chance that the i-MID system that debuted in the 2012 Civic to make its appearance here, (a small information readout), we'll have to see when the CR-V comes out this fall.
I am unsure of whether or not the push button start will become an option in North America but there certainly seems to be an option for Chinese models (and may pop up in Europe and Japan as well). Most of Honda's North American models are slightly stripped down versions of their counterparts in the rest of the world.
The plastic/chrome covering of the interior continues to the shifter which remains mounted to the dashboard. The radio looks to be sourced from the Civic but it looks like the automatic climate control system and NAVI system will return for the 2012 CR-V models.
This is a new style of readouts for Honda vehicles with a massive front speedometer and a tachometer and other instruments located to its side, expect more of these to come in future Honda vehicles.
What's your opinion on the CR-V after seeing the exterior (Concept) and now the interior shots? Are you looking forward to Honda's turn-around? Comment below!
