Honda's current hybrid lineup in the States, the Civic Hybrid, the Insight and the CR-Z |
A recent study from Zpryme Research and Consulting shows that 54% of Honda owners would prefer a Honda electric vehicle to that of any other brand. Honda placed 2nd in the poll of brand loyalty with Toyota topping at 57%. GM and Ford were slightly behind at just under 50%. The report shows how important it is to have a strong brand when it comes to hybrid sales. A strong brand can help companies such as Honda to propel above its competitors as the market expands. Honda's reputation for producing quality automobiles is an obvious indicator of the reason why Honda placed 2nd. With Honda producing quality, affordability and trust in a gasoline-powered car, consumers are gravitating towards its hybrid offerings in hopes of Honda offering the same. Honda's 2nd placement has also benefitted by its building and penetration of the U.S. hybrid market with the Honda Insight along with the Toyota Prius, both vehicles that have been reliable adn economical.
