HONDA PILOT RECALL

Honda is not having a good year. Following a massive Fit/CR-V/CR-Z recall, now the Pilot is next on the list of recalls. 347 000 Pilots are affected globally, the issue here is front seat belt problems. This recall affects 2009-2011 Pilots which may have the driver or front passenger seat belts disconnect from the anchor webbing during an accident. No injuries or deaths have been reported related to the issue. The recall was due to a manufacturing error on a small amount of seat belts where the stitching connecting the lap belt section to the outboard anchor webbing is either incomplete or completely missing. 311 000 SUVs were sold Stateside, 10 000 in Canada, 8 000 in Mexico and the rest elsewhere.
