Truth be told, it has not been a good year for Honda. Recalls are plaguing the manufacturer in all countries. Honda's latest recall will be split into individual posts for each car that is affected. 72 115 Honda City sedans are being recalled over faulty power window switches, a problem that is very common on Honda City/Honda Fit models from the first generation. The City sedans affected were produced between 2005 and 2007 and are part of a "preventive part replacement" globally. The replacement is carried out free of charge.

However, the recall is coming at a terrible time as Honda is attempting to claw back in market share. India has been targeted as a key market for Honda growth with the launch of the Brio in coming weeks. Honda has discounted the latest batch of Fit/City models in order to compete its similarly-equipped but lower-priced competitors.
