The news isn’t related to a new BMW, a new technology or anything similarly relevant to petrolheads. It’s related somewhat more to the detective novel types.

The Germans arrested a Munich worker which is suspected of theft. The thing is, it’s not the minor stuff like a couple of bolts missing.

BMW report that the arrested man may be behind a trafficking scheme involving an employee at a car-parts supplier. The counterpart was also arrested by the Munich police.

So, at the end of the day, what was he arrested for?

Well, apparently, the BMW worker may have caused losses of about 3 million euros to the company. That’s about 4 million dollars in stolen BMW parts

.

The parts favored by the two were the seats that BMW fits to their cars but that hasn’t stopped them from helping themselves to other types of fittings.

I should state that the BMW worker and his “friend” haven’t yet been convicted but the evidence is building up against them since October. Police findings speak that along side the two who were arrested another 15 people may be involved in this BMW part stealing affair.

Honda is reportedly considering the rebirth of the famous NSX sports coupe as a hybrid based on a modified Accord platform. Further, it is expected to be powered either by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder or a 3.5-liter V-6. If the coupe is voted in favor of production it can be expected to hit the roads in 2014.
According to Motortrend’s sources, a patent application specifies a “V6 powertrain developing upwards of 400 horsepower.” that suggests a definite inclination to the V6 engine.
Moreover, the technology that will be used to power the new sports coupe “can be driven with either a clutch and an engine only, the engine and motor only, or the motor only,” Also, a manual transmission option is expected to be offered.
In addition, the sports coupe is expected to make use of Honda’s SH-AWD system. Meanwhile, it will apply NSX concept technology by fitting the rear-drive-based SH-AWD setup that enabled the test mule to lap the Nürburgring in 7 minutes, 37 seconds two years ago.
Also, R&D costs will come down significantly if the front-wheel-drive Accord platform is used as a base for this car. Engineers will likely swap the front and rear around to create a rear midship AWD package.
So what do you think of these latest rumors? Is it worth it for an NSX to be produced on a reversed Accord platform?

After a couple of months on hiatus due to a family emergency in another country, I'm pleased to announce that I'm back blogging! So stay tuned on more news about your beloved automaker! :)
